// Clean Eating Breakfast Pancakes

In an ever conscious bid to lead a healthier lifestyle I have been attempting to find recipes that deliver on health without compromising on taste.

I whipped up a stack of these 'clean' pancakes this Sunday morning and boy did they hit the spot! They might look a little hash-brownish but they taste a treat and kept me full right up until lunchtime with all the protein and fibre.

Simply mix the ingredients together in a big bowl, add to a hot frying pan until brown on both sides and garnish with toppings of your choice. You can't go wrong.

Clean Pancakes Ingredients //

2 mashed bananas
1 egg
4 tbsp fat free Greek yogurt
45 g rolled oats
1 tsp baking powder
30 g desiccated coconut

I garnished mine with fresh strawberries and runny honey. Enjoy!

// The Lighting Edit

Ok so this is pretty embarrassing, but I still have no living room lights after over a year of moving into my house. However, I have two pretty good excuses. 1). I am SO freakin fussy. 2). Lights are silly expensive and I have to buy two.

But for such big features of a room I think it is really important to pick ones that you love to look at. And choosing the right light can really bring a room together.

I have been pretty underwhelmed with the offerings from high street home stores up until now. Why does that always happen? You look for ages and find nothing, and then as soon as you give up ten come at once!

Why ones are you favourites? Mine definitely have to be 2 and 4, they are industrial yet glamorous, but I think I may have to start up a piggy bank fund for them.

// Gentle Skincare

L'Oreal Micellar Cleansing Products

As someone who suffers with very sensitive skin, I have to be fairly picky with the skincare products I choose. More often than not, many brands cause my skin to feel very tight and dehydrated, leaving trying out new brands and products a bit of a nightmare.

A few weeks ago I came across L'Oreal's new 'Skin Perfection' Micelllar range, their dupe of the cult cleansing product, Bioderma.

I have never thought to try out L'Oreal before, I guess because I always assumed they targeted my mother's generation due to their marketing campaigns. However, this latest cleansing range has been a pleasant surprise.

I can count the number of ingredients on one hand, which is very rare for a high street brand, and can also pronounce every single one of them!

In terms of whether this stuff does the job, HELL YES it does! Super impressed with what is essentially being marketed as 'posh water'. This has been my go to makeup remover for the the past few weeks now (Sainsburys were doing half price last week and I genuinely bought 5 more bottles), clearing eye makeup up like a dream.

I just tip a tiny bit of either the Micellar water or gel onto a cotton pad, hold it on top of my eyes for a few seconds and then simply swipe it all away in a few gentle strokes, leaving my face refreshed and calm. No furious scrubbing like I normally have to.

So if you are in the market for a new makeup remover that can give many high end alternatives a run for their money and that won't break the bank, then definitely give this a go. Your skin will love you for it.
